u.k. solenoid is part of the worldwide Krasu & Naimer group which celebrated its 100 year anniversary in 2007.  Founded in 1907, the first Kraus & Naimer workshop was in a basement of a building in Wattgasse 53, Vienna.  Now the group consists of 7 state of the art production facilities in Vienna, Germany, Ireland, USA, New Zealand, Brasil and Hungary together with 18 sales and marketing companies covering most of the major industrial and commercial centres worldwide.

Kraus & Naimer has pioneered many new developments. By the end of the twenties, we had already started to use the new material "Bakelite". The new "Bakelite switch" became known and accepted in the industry.
